How important is customer service to Britain's energy industry?

We attended Utility Week’s Water Customer and Energy Customer Conferences this month where the topic of how water and energy companies can improve their customer service was top of the agenda.

When asked how important customer service is to Britain’s energy industry, Rob Salter-Church, Partner, Consumers & Competition, Ofgem replied "I don’t think they suffer enough."

As energy companies come under fire from the media, politicians and consumer groups, Utility Week asked the industry, its regulator, and one of its fiercest critics if utilities were doing enough to rebuild public trust.
